Community Help for migrant workers: From food to footwear on NH44 Dear Friends and Indians... Some of you already reached out to offer help so posting here for others to see if they are interested. Recently we came across a voluntary local group ( Full of local teachers and local people)  that is serving 3000 people a day who are moving towards Maharashtra( NH-44 at Perkit junction - Rajeshwar Battu, GangaReddy A ) Every two mins a truck is going with hundreds of people in 45c heat so there are a lot more can be fed with your little support. Some of them haven't eaten for days and some eat little to preserve food for the further journey which is quite sad. Food is prepared close by and they are providing 3 chapatis, curry, buttermilk and water. It costs 20-25 Rs so even a 50p from us will fill two empty stomachs. ...
